Domestic Shipments

Domestic shipments to the Continental United States are sent complementary by Fewer Finer with 2-Day shipping. Overnight shipments may be available by request, at an extra cost. We ship all packages with Signature Required. The customer is responsible for providing us with a secure shipping location for delivery and one in which a person is available to sign for the package. If a change of shipping address is required by the customer, this request must come in writing via email, before the shipping confirmation is sent, and is not Fewer Finer’s responsibility until confirmed via email. If an item is received damaged, please email info@fewerfiner.com immediately with a clear description of the item. It is required that a photo of the damaged package is included.

International Shipments

International Shipments are sent to most countries with a flat $75 fee. Customer pays all associated duties and taxes associated with the order. All other shipping details are in line with domestic shipping policies.

Shipping for Returns & Exchanges

Fewer Finer does not refund items that are lost or damaged in transit. We recommend packaging your items with extra padding and including secure tracking information and insurance for your own protection. Please note that in order to process an exchange, credit or refund, the customer must first be in touch with Fewer Finer so that we know to expect it alongside our other incoming shipments. Fewer Finer is not liable for items returned without prior notification.

Signature Collection

We are unable to issue refunds; however, we will accept unworn items, in their original packaging, showing no signs of having been worn or used, within five (5) days of delivery for exchange or store credit. Customers are responsible for round-trip shipping costs. Returns will not be accepted after five days under any circumstances. If you would like to exchange or return an item, please email info@fewerfiner.com to begin the process. No returns or exchanges will be accepted without prior authorization. 

Made to Order, Personalized, & Custom

Made-to-order pieces, custom orders and engraved pieces, are FINAL SALE — no refunds, no exchanges. If you have any questions about your specific item's return policies, please email us before purchasing.

Vintage

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of these items, Fewer Finer vintage pieces are not eligible for exchange, credit, nor return.

Discounted Items

Discounted items are FINAL SALE, and are therefore not eligible for exchange, credit, nor return.

Most orders are custom cast, set, polished, and made to order in New York City. Because all pieces are made by hand, each is subject to slight variation. Please allow 4-6 weeks for all orders to be processed. Some items, especially those with customization and engraving, may take longer to ship. Signature Collection & Custom Work

Fewer Finer will cover the cost of all repairs under normal wear for the 90 days after purchase.  If pieces are noticeably bent or show improper care, repairs will be performed at cost and charged to the customer. Outside of the 90 day period, Fewer Finer will perform repairs for a fee. We are happy to make minor adjustments to jewelry, including resizing, for an additional fee. Please reach out to info@fewerfiner.com with your repair request and quote. Round-trip shipping costs will be covered by Fewer Finer if within the 90-day window, and otherwise are the responsibility of the customer. 

Vintage

All vintage pieces are sold as-is and Fewer Finer is not responsible for the cost of any needed repairs. We only sell pieces that we've determined are in wearable condition. That being said, antique jewelry should be handled with extra care. We will assess all repair requests on vintage pieces on a case-by-case basis and quote the customer accordingly. Please request a repair for vintage pieces via info@fewerfiner.com. Round-trip shipping costs for an accepted vintage repair are the responsibility of the customer. 

A simple home remedy for cleaning your gold and diamond jewelry is to mix a spot of dish soap in a bowl with warm water. Let your jewelry soak in the bowl for a few minutes. Remove the jewelry and scrub with a soft, clean toothbrush. Then, dry with a dish cloth and polish with a jewelry cloth. Repeat as often as necessary.

Do you offer a discount for first time clients?

We offer 10% off your first purchase when you sign up for our emails! You can sign up via the pop-up email capture on our website and will receive the code via email.

What is the difference between “Ready to Ship” and “Made to Order”?

Ready to ship means we have the product available to ship the same day or the following. Made to Order are items that needs to be produced just for you. Depending on the piece it can take between 4-8 weeks.

Do you provide appraisals or diamond grading reports on your pieces?

All custom engagement rings are made with GIA certified diamonds. The certification will be included with your finished piece. Some higher value diamond heavy vintage pieces come with a third party grading report. This will be noted in the product description of any piece that includes one.

How long does engraving take?

Hand-engraving is extremely intricate, labor-intensive and full of character. The final product is truly a work of art, with beautiful imperfections and deep carving. Because there are only a few hand engravers left in New York, please anticipate 6-8 weeks of creation time to receive your finished piece. Laser engraving, a computerized style of engraving that is great for fine lines and intricate etchings, takes up to 2 weeks.

Can I engrave or customize a piece I already own?

We are not able to engrave, customize, or repair pieces that were not purchased from Fewer Finer.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for all domestic orders. For international orders, shipping is $75. We ship everything with two day shipping and will share tracking information with you via email. Please keep in mind that all of our parcels require an adult signature per our insurance policy. If you are interested in expedited shipping, please reach out to info@fewerfiner.com.

My piece broke, will you repair it?

We take great care to ensure our jewelry is made to last, and we stand behind the quality of our pieces. If any damage or breakage occurs, please email info@fewerfiner.com and provide us with photos of what needs to be repaired. Please keep in mind that we are unable to repair pieces that were not purchased from Fewer Finer.

How do you source your vintage pieces?

We work with knowledgeable and reputable industry dealers in NYC and across the globe to bring you what we think is a unique and special curation of vintage jewelry.

I have a vintage piece that I don’t wear, can I sell it to you?

Due to our insurance policy we are unable to purchase from individuals. We do take on custom projects to redesign heirloom jewelry into something new that fits your style. If you're interested in starting a custom project, please fill out our request form.

Do you have a store? Can I try on your pieces in person?

We do not have a store, but we do have a by appointment studio. Please feel free to email info@fewerfiner.com to book.  

Do you gift wrap?

If you would like a piece gift wrapped feel free to notate when you check out in the notes section.

Do you offer financing options?

We offer payment plans through Affirm. Payments vary according to your credit.

Can you make signature pieces in other metals?

We can make most signature pieces in 14k yellow, white, or rose gold with a customization fee of $150. If you are interested in 18k gold, platinum, or other more precious metals, additional costs will apply. Please email info@fewerfiner.com if you are interested in a different metal for a signature piece. 

Can you set my heirloom stones in one of your pieces?

We can set most heirloom stones in many of our signature pieces. Please email us at info@fewerfiner.com to confirm.

Can you use metal from a piece of jewelry I have and make it into something new?

Unfortunately we can not use your metal to make into something new, however we can use most stones from your jewelry. If you're interested in starting a custom project, please fill out our request form.

What is Navidium?

Navidium is added shipping protection that covers packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Navidium ensures your lost, stolen, or damaged item is replaced immediately rather than having to wait the necessary time for a claim to be processed and paid out by couriers.

I have an old piece of jewelry, can you repair it?

Unfortunately we can not repair pieces that are not part of our collection. We highly recommend reaching out to your local jeweler.
